Community Comes Together to Celebrate Social Signature at Lake House, Crosby

On Monday 16th March, the Lake House in Crosby hosted a vibrant Social Signature event, supported by Sefton CVS, bringing together schools, local council representatives, and community members to celebrate and spread the word about the initiative.

The event focused on three main objectives: helping attendees identify their own strengths and passions, understanding how their organisations can embed Social Signature into everyday practice, and collaborating on a Sefton-wide Social Signature blueprint to inspire impact across the borough and beyond.

While the day was framed as a community gathering, the highlight came from the children themselves. Pupils from English Martyrs Primary School and Our Lady Queen of Peace shared personal accounts of what Social Signature means to them, even performing songs that expressed their understanding of the programme’s values. Their contributions brought the principles of Social Signature to life, demonstrating how it empowers young people to discover their unique superpowers and make a difference in the world around them.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in interactive sessions including ‘Me, We, Them, and Us’, where participants explored the four stages of Social Signature and considered how to leave their mark for good. In a spirited team challenge, participants also headed into the community to perform acts of kindness, spreading smiles and reinforcing the programme’s ethos in action.

The event concluded with a collaborative discussion on how to embed Social Signature across schools, organisations, and the wider community, laying the foundations for a Sefton Social Signature blueprint. The initiative promises to support young people across the borough and the Liverpool City Region, creating a network of values-driven communities that help children feel seen, valued, and empowered.

The Social Signature team thanked everyone who attended for their energy, ideas, and commitment, and encouraged more schools, organisations, and individuals to get involved in the next chapter of Social Signature in Sefton.
