Pupils Meet Prince William During Special Visit to Toxteth
Three pupils from English Martyrs Catholic School enjoyed an unforgettable experience when they travelled to Toxteth, Liverpool, to meet His Royal Highness Prince William.
On Thursday 25 January 2025, Daisy, Anna-Rae and Jacob from Years 5 and 6 attended the special visit alongside Mrs Bowden and Mr Dinsdale. They were joined by Dr Pete Hawkins and children and staff from Princes Primary School for the exciting occasion.
The pupils had the opportunity to speak with Prince William about the work they have been involved in through the Social Signature project. As part of the visit, the children proudly presented the Prince with a framed Social Signature poster to showcase their efforts.
They also shared three special cards—one for each of Prince William’s children. Inside each card was a SMILE challenge along with a £10 note, encouraging them to take part and spread kindness in their own communities.
The meeting was filled with smiles and laughter. Prince William was warm and friendly, joking with the group about how cold it was in Liverpool. When Daisy told him about the pupils completing a 26-mile fun run to raise awareness for bleed kits, the Prince was amazed by their dedication.
The pupils are now hoping to hear back from Prince William and his children if they decide to take on the SMILE challenge.
